CIS 101-104
Welcome to the CIS10X Home Page.
CIS10X is not in itself a course. It is a reference to a series of 4 courses. Each course is 1 credit hour and lasts approximately 3½ weeks. Each of the four courses uses an online software program, myitlab.com, and is accessible only by students with a valid username and password.
The class topics are:
CIS 101: Information Technology
CIS 102: Spreadsheets using the Microsoft Excel application
CIS 103: Databases using the Microsoft Access application
CIS 104: Word Processing using the Microsoft Word application
There are no course prerequisites for these courses. Students may enroll in any combination of these courses as it suits their needs and curriculum requirements.
On-campus CIS10X students are required to attend orientation for each course and are required to complete a final exam in the Nichols 21 lab. All other assignments for these courses may be completed outside of the classroom.
